WHO I AM

Forty years in Japan. That’s not some expat story — that’s a life. Came here with the Navy, stayed because it made sense, and somewhere along the way Japan stopped being a place I was visiting and became the place I’m from. I still split my time between here and Saipan. Suits me fine.

Navy veteran. VFW member. These days I write because I can’t seem to quit the damn thing, even when I know I’m no good at it.

I’m also a Christian. Some folks can’t square that with the rest of me. I don’t much care.

This site is where it all lands — the writing, the images, the YouTube videos, the Instagram scraps. No algorithm is going to make sense of it, and that’s just fine by me.
